Recognizing Love
Stewardship is the grateful response of a Christian disciple who recognizes and receives God’s gifts and shares these gifts in love of God and neighbor. In the Diocese of Wichita, we read and live the Gospel through this spiritual lens. Everything is gift! Jesus invites us to recognize, receive, and share these gifts in love.
Hearts on Fire
“Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32) Jesus’ presence lights an interior flame! He helped the disciples on the road to Emmaus recognize this even when they did not know immediately it was Jesus.
Cross & Crown
Stewardship calls us to recognize the gift and the Giver in ordinary life. We can help each other do this by naming the blessing. What is a good thing that has occurred in my life? What is a challenge that I face? What is my Cross? What is my Crown? Jesus is there, making Himself known.
And the Word became flesh
Take a moment to consider how Jesus is present in your life. Really, truly present in the ordinary facts of everyday circumstances. The Cross and Crown are signs of His dwelling among us. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me this crown. Thank you, Jesus, for sharing with me this cross.
